Terms of Service

The rules for using Voice Clone Lab, what you may and may not clone, and how subscriptions work.

Last updated: 2026-11-03

1. Who these terms cover

By using Voice Clone Lab you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

2. What you may clone

You may only submit a voice that is your own, or one for which you hold documented permission from the speaker. Every upload requires you to attest to this, and the attestation is recorded with a timestamp.

You must not clone:

  1. A public figure, a politician, a celebrity, or anyone whose voice is part of their public identity.
  2. A private individual without their explicit, written consent.
  3. A child's voice, in any circumstance.
  4. A voice for the purpose of fraud, impersonation, harassment, defamation, or to make it appear a person said something they did not say.

Generated audio used in public — publishing, advertising, broadcast, or sent to other people — must be disclosed as AI-generated where the law or the platform requires it. Passing a clone off as a real recording of a real person is a breach of these terms even where it is not a crime.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are required to act on by law, or that is used to attack the service. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

4. Free tier and fair use

  1. The free tier allows 1 render per person per day, up to 150 characters per render, with no account. Free output carries an audible notice.
  2. Free capacity is finite. We may pause free renders for the day when the daily allowance is used up; paid plans are not affected.
  3. Pro includes a monthly allowance of 10 minutes of rendered audio. That ceiling exists because synthesis is metered upstream, and it is the "fair use" limit referred to on the pricing page.
  4. Attempts to evade the free limit — rotating identifiers, scripted submissions, multiple accounts — end the free allowance for that user.

5. Subscriptions and payment

  1. Waffo acts as merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles tax, and appears on your statement.
  2. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
  3. Refund requests go through Waffo's process. We do not grant refunds for a period in which the service was used, except where the law requires it.

6. Your content, our service

You keep ownership of the scripts you submit and the audio you generate. You grant us the limited licence needed to process them — transmit to our speech provider, synthesise, store, and return them to you. We claim no other rights and we do not train models on your content.

We own the service itself: the site, the interface, and the code.

7. Removal and reports

Anyone can report a voice or a piece of content through the report page. A confirmed impersonation is removed within 72 hours. We may remove content or a voice model without prior notice where a report appears well founded and the risk of leaving it up is immediate.

8. Availability

The service depends on third-party speech synthesis. It can be interrupted, degraded, or changed. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or retire features.

9. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from a voice you submitted without the right to use it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes that cannot be settled between us are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court at the operator's place of establishment.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on this page with a new date, and for account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
